What began as a connection with the region gradually became something more. We kept returning, year after year. And while Dubai first caught our attention, it was Abu Dhabi that stayed with us; as a place to invest, and eventually, a place we could see ourselves living.
MY JOURNEY
It started with a trip to The UAE in 2011.
My first trips to the UAE sparked something. We kept coming back, and over time, Abu Dhabi became more than a destination. It became a place we could see ourselves living.
2011: First connection with the UAE
In my early twenties, I bought my first home in the Netherlands. Six years later, we sold it and reinvested the proceeds into our next property.
2013: My first investment
More property investments followed, including an off-plan investment in the Netherlands. Investing changed the way I thought about income, capital and long-term financial freedom.
The years that followed: Building experience
Today, I use that experience to help international investors make considered real estate decisions of their own.
WHERE WE'RE AT NOW
Investor turned advisor
As the Dutch investment landscape changed, we started looking internationally. After years of travelling to Abu Dhabi, researching the market and doing our own due diligence, the choice felt increasingly natural.
Then: Looking beyond the Netherlands
We made our first Abu Dhabi investment on Yas Island. It was exciting. And at times overwhelming. I still remember the questions that came with transferring capital abroad and signing that first off-plan contract.
